Privacy Policy

Potentia is operated by SIA "Horizon Grid", registration no. 40203602016, registered address Marijas iela 18A-10, Riga, LV-1011, Latvia (“Horizon Grid”, “we”, “us”). This Privacy Policy explains what data we process, why, and how it is protected — for both requesters (the person who sends a consent request) and subjects (the person being analyzed).

What we collect

For real-mode reports, we only process data a subject explicitly connects after reading and agreeing to a consent screen: OAuth data from GitHub or X (public profile, repos, posts), files they upload themselves (a pitch deck, PDF/PPTX), a URL they provide for their own site, or text they paste themselves (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram exports). For requester accounts, we collect an email address and hashed password.

What we never do

We never scrape, look up, or analyze a third party's data without their own explicit consent. We never access a subject's accounts before they click “Agree” on the consent screen, and we never read any account or file that was not deliberately connected by its owner.

One optional feature is a partial exception worth calling out directly: a subject can upload their own LinkedIn connections export to add a network-breadth signal to their score. This is the only place the product ever touches data about other people at all. We handle it by reducing the file to two numbers the moment it's uploaded — total connection count, and how many work at a recognized VC, accelerator, or founder community — and discarding everything else immediately: no connection's name, email, profile link, or job title is ever written to our database, logged, or shown on any report.

Retention & deletion

A subject can revoke access at any time from their consent link, which deletes the underlying connected data. A report already generated remains as the requester's record unless deletion is separately requested. See our Data Protection page for details on data subject rights.
