The Growth Readiness Score, explained: ten factors, one number

5 March 2026

The Growth Readiness Score compresses ten separate sub-scores into one 0–100 number: Narrative Consistency, Team Requisite Variety, Decision Structure Health, Influence Authenticity, Operational Debt, Track Record Retrospective, Network Environment, Semantic Entropy, Signal Efficiency, and Founder-Market Fit.

Each factor answers a specific, narrow question — not "is this a good founder" in the abstract, but things like "does the team's mix of backgrounds actually match the range of problems the business faces" (Team Requisite Variety) or "is the current pitch tightly focused on one story, or scattered across unrelated themes" (Semantic Entropy).

The full breakdown, including the research and reasoning behind each factor, is documented on the methodology page — the point of publishing it isn't marketing, it's so a 72 or a 41 means something concrete rather than a vibe wrapped in a number.

Tiers exist too: 0–34 reads as material red flags, 35–64 as a mixed signal worth a closer look, 65–100 as a strong signal. None of the tiers are a verdict on their own — they're a starting point for the actual conversation.
